A NOTE TO OUR FRIENDS ONLINE:
Last month, we encountered some technical issues when emailing out our July newsletter. If you did not receive the newsletter email last month, it is available in the archive (see left).
The technical issues we encountered prevented us from getting a newsletter out earlier this month. These issues have been resolved. This abbreviated newsletter will be followed in a few weeks by a full September edition.
In addition, as we were working on our systems, many of you inadvertently received a "test" email several days ago; we apologize for the inconvenience.
BOOK CLUB - UPDATE!
On July 18th, the new North Coast Dogs Book Club met at North Coast Dogs' main location. We had lots of ideas and good conversation.
Our first book for discussion will be "The Other End of the Leash" by Patricia McConnell.
We will meet to discuss this book on Tuesday, August 22nd at 7:45pm. The book should be
available in most libraries and bookstores, and we do have copies for sale here ($13.95 +
tax).
One decision that was made was to keep the group to once monthly, and Tuesday at 7:45pm
seems to be a good time for everyone.
If you would like more information or would like to suggest a book that is related to training or general dog fun, please send an e-mail to mail@northcoastdogs.com. We'd love to see you on the 22nd!

Poisonous Plants
You may have heard that there are many plants out there that can be harmful if your pooch ingests them. Here are two great online resources to clarify what to watch out for:
